PDS North (Miami County Students Only)

This is a SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY

The PDS North New Driver Program (32 Hours)

Meets Ohio State requirement to obtain driving license:

​Classroom Sessions (24 hours) - August 17-22, 2026

& Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) Training (8 hours)​​

This is a special opportunity that will be offered August 17-22, 2026. 

Classroom Sessions:  (Twelve two hour class sessions)

  • Monday – Friday 4:30-8:45pm & Saturday 9:00am-1:15pm. 

  • There will be a 15 minute break between classes. 

  • You are welcome to bring a lunch and/or snack for that break. 

Classroom Location:  Newton Field House 201 Long Street Pleasant Hill, OH 45359.

Behind The Wheel (BTW) Training: (Four two hour in car lessons)

  • at a location in Miami County designated by the Instructor. 

  • We offer extended training, beyond State guidelines including: 

          Off-road recovery, Braking exercises, and Evasive maneuvers

Requirements to Register:

  • Must live in Miami County

  • Must be 15 1/2 - 18 years old by July 29, 2026.  

  • Must have temporary license AND 10 hours of legal driving (documented on state driving log) by August 16, 2026.  

  • A completed registration includes payment

 

            Failure to meet any of the requirements voids the registration.  ​​
