Who & What is a Training Manager?
O.A.C. 4501-7-01 (QQ) states, “Training manager” or “manager” means a person designated by an authorizing official of a driver training enterprise to carry out orders, instruct, conduct business and manage the training program of a school, and assess and supervise current and candidate instructors. Individuals interested in becoming a licensed Training Manager in the state of Ohio shall attend and complete the full Training Manager Course. The Training Manager Course provides a solid basis to becoming a licensed Training Manager. |
Course Requirements
Each student of the course will be required to participate. This includes, at a minimum, performing a brief classroom and behind-the-wheel assessment, participating in range activities, and completing any pre-requisite assignments. On the range day, Class D participants will be asked to bring a vehicle to participate. A driver education vehicle, equipped with a brake is preferred. More information regarding course requirements will be available in the Welcome Packet. |

Online Registration Cost & Registration:
The Training Manager Course Tuition with convenience fee is $615.00. The price includes lunch every day. Breakfast, snacks, and beverages (other than lunch) will be on your own. |
When & Where:
The 2021 Fall Training Manager Course will be held three consecutive weekends. October/November. October 23-24, 30-31, & November 6-7, 2021 will be the dates of the course. Those interested in registering for the course should be available to attend every day and weekend. The course will be held at the following location: Cuyahoga Community College 24881 Rockwell Drive Euclid, OH 44117 |
Class Information & Size:
In order to hold the course, at least eight (8) participants are needed. If there is insufficient enrollment, you will be contacted by the office.
The Training Manager Course will incorporate both Class D and CDL instructors. There will be days where everyone is together, and days where the group is divided to have more specific information presented. The course is being limited to 12 registrations (6 Class D, 6 CDL) in order to accommodate COVID-19 guidelines and sanitation.

After registration and payment are received, each participant will be mailed a Welcome Packet to the address on their registration form. The Welcome Packet will include expectations and requirements of the course. The Welcome Packet will be Class D and/or CDL specific and will include some pre-requisite assignments before the course begins.
